I recently moved to Corpus in July '07 to be with my boyfriend and continue some college down here. My boyfriend would tell me about what goes on in Corpus and how people are in general. Well I was dropping him off at his job, his first day, and I was driving on an access road and I see a van with free hannah.com and I love going online and reading news so I was all happy to see what the free hannah.com was all about. I did see the Hannah news on caller.com once but just briefly scrolled through it and not really payed any attention to it. Then when I got on this site I was kind of in shock to see why they want to free Hannah, but as I was reading more about this situation I was more interested in viewing all the sections. It really is crazy and just annoyed that CPS and even local officers would do such a thing. Yes they are trying to protect our children and what not, but not reporting the facts to the media and hiding the truth is just injustice. I hate to say but I don't like the
CPS or the human resource dept. people only because in my opinion they are too gossipy and just would want to work in that field just to see what is going on locally and who is doing what and getting into their personal lives. I live in a small town outside of San Antonio and I know how that goes. How can the CPS, the judge, or any investigators seek into Andrew's health problem instead of saying she is a murderer. hadI see postings from a pastor writing about how Hannah is with her family and a church goer. How can the investigators, the police say shes a murderer when you have a pastor by her side saying shes innocent. This whole world is selfish and doesn't want to see the truth and the innocence in innocent people. I hope the family finds justice and Hannah can have her family back. May she keep strong and we are praying for her and family.
Catholic friends praying here in Illinois.
Hannah, we are the Anderson family from Illinois. We are praying for you and hopefully we can drop you a line soon. God bless you.
We just want you to know that we are lifting you up to God in prayer and asking him to strengthen you and keep you faithful to Him through this horrible trial. Our hearts are heavy with grief at the injustice and pain that you are enduring. We pray that the words of Paul to the Corinthians will sustain Hannah and her family and friends--as the sufferings of Christ abound in you, so may your consolation also
abound through Christ.
Please know that you are not forgotten. We will continue to pray.

Dear Hannah,
I have never met you but I find frequently I am praying for you. The Lord even wakes me in the night to pray. May the Lord lift your spirit and encourage you and make you a huge blessing to the inmates while there. May justice be done.
I pray that your suffering will work out to cause an examination of the injustice in our "Justice System " May those fighting for your release be given supernatual help. Ps71 is for you.
With continual prayer and christian love

Hannah, I have been praying ever since we got an e-mail at my church. I have0 written and told everyone I could think of to pray. I contacted Thomas Rd. Baptist Church in Lynchburg, VA, Dr. Dobson's radio show and our Christian radio station 106.9 FM. for prayer. I'm at a loss as to how wrong someone can be and yet still pursue (the DA)
I just had an automobile accident and once more I realized that God knew exactly where I was and what happened. I refuse to let Satan have a foothold and I know God honors that kind of commitment. I believe you have such a commitmant in a much, much more serious situation than an accident.
God is using this injustice and in the end it will come out right and you will be free to go home and take care of your children. Who knows what this situation may do in someone's life.
I will continue to pray for you and your family and for the appeals to be honored and you freed.
Hannah.
I love you and I am praying for you!! I know none of this makes sense, but you will go through the fire without being burned! God is bigger then all the lies that have been told. Be strong and stand firm God is with you!
I love you,
Ann M
Holding on to God's promises... The truth will be known before all, and soon. Come quickly Lord Jesus! I send my love and prayers to my family in Corpus Christi.

Hannah has been on my mind ever since I heard her story over the internet, on ISI w/ Chris Arnzen & her Pastor. I would very much like for someone to let her know that there are ALOT of people out in the world praying for her & her family. Not just in her part of the world..but ALL over. I can't even imagine what she & her family are going through... I only know that she's in my heart & thoughts--I would love to send her the biggest hug & to let her know that I care for her. From one mom to another, she can count on me if there is ever anything I can do for her.
With much love & prayers from Kentucky,

Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your family. This was hard and upsetting! I was thankfull for my freedom! I cryed out to GOD for your freedom! Christ said just
believe and trust in him don't fear what man can do to us! It is hard and I don't have to tell you that, but I will tell you that I'm still praying for your FREEDOM!ALWAYS! GOD BLESS! A SISTER IN CHRIST LINDA D.
Dear Calvary Chapel family,
We stand by you and Hannah. We will continue to be there in prayer and support, not by our own strength for the sadness in our hearts is great, but by the power that comes from knowing who do we serve. And who do we serve but the VICTORIOUS AND FAITHFUL GOD MAKER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH FROM WHOM ALL GOOD THINGS COME. Nothing has changed his nature and character, He remains the same. So let us stand firm and strong for Hannah and Larry, ready to do God's will and continuing to speak the word boldly without fear as the scripture from Phi 1:14 says so appropriately on your web page.
We love each of you.
In Christ

Once again we are saddened by the ruling of the judge in Hannahs' case. I wonder why this judge continues to stick to his guns despite of all the evidence or the lack of. I am thinking that he does not want to lose face before his peers and the community instead of doing what is right. As he was being asked about his decision on the news he said that he takes all his cases very seriously and showed stacks of case loads that he went through before he made the same decision again. I do not doubt that he does take them seriously, but it seems to me that the fear of man is more serious to him. Even though in my opinion the judicial system in this country is on the downhill skids we still hope in our REDEEMER. I am blessed to be a part of a fellowship that believes that our LORD rules in the affairs of men and loves HIS own. As I was thinking of the many things that I should be thankful and grateful for during this time of Thanksgiving and always, I am so thankful for CCC and other area fellowships that are continuing about the LORDS' business until HE takes us. We are aware that we live in times like that of the prophet Samuel when the WORD of the LORD was rare and there was no open vision. AS the LORD raised Samuel for those times of need May HE raise up HIS people in our time. We are called for such a time as this! We are privileged to be a part of being lights in a dark world. HE is working in and thru HIS church so let us NOT faint and grow weary for we are down the homestretch. May the LORD annoint us with the oil of gladness and continue in prayer for the Overtons.
We shall not be moved,

Hannah and family, We are praying here in Illinois.
As I was getting ready to go to the appeal this morning, i thought of psalm 20. It was a huge blessing to read today. in fact, i read it many times throughout the day. It is my song to hannah, and it is one of my favorites! I am going to study it more, but for now, be blessed, be encouraged, and trust in our God!
with His love and grace,
Fallon
I'm anxious to know the result of the hearing. I have been praying off and on for a long time and now praying all during the day. We prayed at our Prayer Mtg. last night and today my Circle prayed. I've told everyone I can about it.
I wrote to Focus on the Family and they sent me an e-mail to say that they are praying too.
Please post something on the internet site as soon as you hear from the hearing.
A concerned Christian in York, South Carolina
I am a homeschooling mom of 7, and I assure you our family will certainly be praying. I don't know what else I can do, but that much you all have.
May the Lord's grace and mercy continue to sustain you all, comfort you all, and may justice prevail quickly.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Carla R
I want to write Hannah Is there a specific schedule she is using to allow for people to write to her how is it possible for me to write her at least once. I am a long time family friend.

Hello. My boyfriend and I were shopping at HEB today and noticed two bumber stickers both saying "freehannah.com." I was curious about what the sticker was about so I came home and went to the site. Until then I had not even heard of this case. After reading about this I am completly mortified. It is rediculous to blaim a loving mother for such horrible things. It is hard on my heart that a loving mother is sitting in jail just for adopting and loving a troubled little boy. Anyways, I would love a response to this case and Hannah, her family, and all involved will be in me and my families prayer.
God Bless,
Stephanie
Dear Hannah,
I am so sorry I didnt write earlier
I didnt know what to say
like others who have not written yet. I felt compelled to write but I was also afraid. So I am writing with what is on my heart and my feelings about this whole trial. It is what I believe is a spiritual warfare battle for the whole church. However I can only imagine the hurt you must feel because you and your family are absorbing the biggest part of the attack. I will share scriptures that have helped me through trials from time to time or that I feel God has lain upon my heart. I pray they will provide you with the comfort that only God can give.
2Ti 3:12 Now in fact all who want to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
1Ti 1:8 But we know that the law is good if someone uses it legitimately,
1Ti 1:9 realizing that law is not intended for a righteous person, but for lawless and rebellious people, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,
1Ti 1:10 sexually immoral people, practicing homosexuals, kidnappers, liars, perjurers in fact, for any who live contrary to sound teaching.
When I heard your verdict I was very angry with God. I was seriously thinking about taking a break from teaching and attending church to reevaluate my faith in God.
1Ti 1:18 I put this charge before you, Timothy my child, in keeping with the prophecies once spoken about you, in order that with such encouragement you may fight the good fight.
1Ti 1:19 To do this you must hold firmly to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck in regard to the faith.
That was until I heard your response to the verdict and the love you had for your persecutors and that you were praying for them. Then I go to teach my class and Isa and Ali faithfully praying for your return every sunday brought me to tears and repentance. It hurts finding out your faith is not as strong as you think
especially being a spiritual leader of the house and one at the church.
Luk 18:1 Then Jesus told them a parable to show them they should always pray and not lose heart.
Luk 18:2 He said, "In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected people.
Luk 18:3 There was also a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, 'Give me justice against my adversary.'
Luk 18:4 For a while he refused, but later on he said to himself, 'Though I neither fear God nor have regard for people,
Luk 18:5 yet because this widow keeps on bothering me, I will give her justice, or in the end she will wear me out by her unending pleas.' "
Luk 18:6 And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unrighteous judge says!
Luk 18:7 Won't God give justice to his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he delay long to help them?
Praise God!!! I am truly blessed to be surrounded by your children whose faith is a direct reflection of your faith and love for God. You should be proud you raised them to love and honor God. There faith is strong and so is yours. Hannah I cant begin to tell you why this is happening or what Gods plans are. No one but God himself can answer that. But I can tell you that God has a purpose in all this. I also believe that God chose you specifically for a reason. The reason I dont know. What I do know is that he knew he could count on you to carry it through.
1Co 10:13 No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.
You and your family are always in my thoughts and prayers. We will continue to pray for your specific request in accordance to your letters. I know this is easier said than done and I am not the one in your shoes. But dont give up hope and continue to fight the good fight. Dont give way to Satan. He wants to see you miserable dont let him take away your joy.
Psa 43:1 Vindicate me, O God! Fight for me against an ungodly nation! Deliver me from deceitful and evil men!
Psa 43:2 For you are the God who shelters me. Why do you reject me? Why must I walk around mourning because my enemies oppress me?
Psa 43:3 Reveal your light and your faithfulness!they will lead me,they will escort me back to our holy hill, and to the place where you live.
Psa 43:4 Then I will go to the altar of God,to the God who gives me ecstatic joy, so that I express my thanks to you, O God, my God, with a harp.
Psa 43:5 Why are you depressed, O my soul? Why are you upset? Wait for God! For I will again give thanks to my God for his saving intervention.
May God watch over you and your family all your days,
Rom 12:12 Rejoice in hope, endure in suffering, persist in prayer.
Your brother in Christ,
Gary Mellor
I just want to encourage you in knowing that there are so many many people praying for you guys. Not just family and friends, but many that you have never met, are lifting your beautiful family up in prayer. My heart aches for the pain you are going through, yet, in my spirit, I rejoice at what God is going to do. He is not sleeping, but sees and feels your pain. Be at peace. He is behind the scenes working in your defense. Our love and our prayers are with you. Greater is HE that is in us, than he that is in the world. Be at peace.
Psalm 34:15- The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry!
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will UPHOLD you with My righteous right hand. Hannah.. God Bless You and Your Family during this trying time. Joy comes in the morning. Hard to see, but you are playing a part in such a greater , bigger plan that can't be seen with human eyes. Our GOD IS FAITHFUL and always right on time. Can't wait to see how our Loving Father in Heaven will deliver. You are loved. Kat (Calvary Chapel-Tustin) We are praying for you all.
Dear Hannah,
Please know that people are praying for you.. I don't know you at all. But I know that God sees you where you are. 9 No matter how hard it seems for you right now, the promise that this is all temporary is the hope we have as Believers. So few of us will have the heartbreak of a "Paul & Peter" imprisonment. But I know as you read the Word, these things must come to mind. How did they suffer when wrongly accused and severly abused? The Holy Spirit alone. And with the prayers of the saints. I wish I had the magic
potion to change all of this. And I so wish I had the perfect words to sooth your hurts. I am thankful that the perfect Healer Himself knows the depth of your needs. And I pray for the Ministry of the Holy Spirit to speak to you today. My husband and I are praying for you and your family, Hannah. God will hold you in the cleft of the Rock.. only as He can.
Blessings to you,
Cathy L

Psa 61:1 For the choir director; on a stringed instrument. A Psalm of David. Hearmy cry, O God; Give heed to my prayer.
Psa 61:2 From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me tothe rock that is higher than I.
Psa 61:3 For You have been a refuge for me, A tower of strength against the enemy.
Psa 61:4 Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah.
Psa 61:5 For You have heard my vows, O God; You have given me the inheritance of those who fear Your name.
Psa 61:6 You will prolong the king's life; His years will be as many generations.
Psa 61:7 He will abide before God forever; Appoint lovingkindness and truth that they may preserve him.
Psa 61:8 So I will sing praise to Your name forever, That I may pay my vows day by day.

As licensed foster care providers my wife and i know first hand about the ups and downs of foster care. Rule #1, when things go wrong everyone covers there own, cps, foster agency, police. My family and i have taken in some of the "most challenging" kids in foster care and understand the frustration that comes with dealing behavioral issues. No good deed goes unpunished. Wow!!! I never understood the reality of this until we decided to provide foster care. The schools want them gone, the police hate dealing with complaints and honestly there is no way to discipline foster children. My family and i recently stopped doing foster care after we took one of our kids to a supervised visit with their biological parents and their parents told them if they said that i had hit them they would be removed from my home and possibly be allowed to live with their grandparents, so he did. My name was eventually cleared after an investigation and that was that. We quickly figured out that the risk of these problems arising was not worth the effort. At the time we did not have children of our own and wondered what would have happened if we did. (during the investigation i mean). I totally understand about the media. Only bad news sells. Christianity?? Why is christianity almost always used against
christians?? This is the world that we live in, the truth is twisted and manipulated, evil is good and good is evil and christianity is mocked. How Shameful the world really is. This was a witch hunt from the very beggining and the verdict was announced well before the trial. Our prayers are with you, The Garza family
Dear Hannah, you are on our prayer request list and we want you to know that God will not let you down, He is going to lift you up. We will continue to pray and please never forget God is in charge. I send you love from our Thur. morning and Tues. evening prayer groups.
In His Love,
Olivia
Hi, I was just wondering Do you think Ms.Hannah will be freed. I pray she will soon. Not only because they jugded her wrong but because she has other children who need her. Hope to hear from you.
Dear Overtons since last October we have been praying for you. As we reach a month since our dear sister has been stripped from her family, and friends, I just want to encourage you that the Lord is still working and that we are so glad to hear about the appeal. So we are praying for you without ceasing. Unfourtunately, We were only able to make it to the first prayer meeting @ CCCF,my expecting wife Laura is due @ any moment, but nevertheless we continue to pray for you in the northshore area.We
have also passed out FreeHannah.com bumper stickers which are reaching out as far as Rockport Texas. Let the truth be known! May the Lord bless you and keep you and shine His face upon you in Jesus name, Amen.
Hannah, for purposes known only to our glorious God, He has chosen you to be the recipient of His grace, mercy, and power. Jesus said in Matthew 5:11-12 that we ought to consider ourselves blessed when we are persecuted for righteousness. Others may think that your imprisonment is not for righteousness; yet, you know you are innocent. I must think that there are times that you don't consider yourself blessed, but don't rely on your feelings but on God's promises. I assure you that your God has not forsaken you or forgotten you. When it is His timing, He will set you free. But He will not do this until all His purposes are achieved. He will display His incredible power; He will confound your enemies. The Lord seeks to chisel you into a glorious vessel that will be for His greater service in the years to come. But one day, your tears shall turn into joy. There are those who need to see how real Christians live under adversity. You have been chosen for this one purpose we know. Be an example to your inmates and guards. Show them the love of Christ. God never forgot Joseph although Joseph must have thought so; God never forgot His nation in Egypt although they must have thought so. When it is God's time, His glory and wonders will be astounding. His and your enemies will be scattered. People will stand in awe of the true God that lives and reigns over nations. Many of us will rejoice with you when the day of deliverance comes. But until that time, trust in Him with all your heart, for He does all things well for His children.
Larry and Hannah,
I am praying for you!!!
Hear my cry, O God;
Attend to my prayer.
From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I
For You have been a shelter for me,
And a strong tower from the enemy.
I will abide in Your tabernacle forever;
I will trust in the shelter of Your wings.
Psalm 61:1-4
God's blessing on you,
Jen A
Lord,
The Overton's are in the palm of Your Hand. You are Soverign and Loving. The center of your will is the only place they desire to be, no matter how painful and difficult it may be. My God, hold them in your perfect PEACE that does not require our understanding. Savior, rescue them from temptations of bitterness and unforgiveness. Master, give them abundant GRACE to accept your invisible plan. Lord, grant them LOVE and JOY to shine as your witness in this hour. How you have
gently poised them in the spotlight for all the world to see YOUR character, YOUR hope, and YOUR ways. May they remember all those who have gone before them to give example, most of Christ. Father, as a good gift to your children, impart to them the FAITH needed to fix their eyes on you and rest in your overwhelming PRESENCE. Send angels to PROTECT Hannah, and surround Larry and the kids. You have called Andrew home in your perfect wisdom and grace. Thank You my generous and loving God for your faithful promises that have no limitations for they are everlasting and unwavering. Your FAVOR is desired. You are God! Teach your disciples to walk in
your STRENGTH. May prayers NEVER CEASE in this time of battle. On the field for you,
~ a prayer warrior.

Our Pastor passed out copies of an e-mail about Hannah and this terrible miscarriage of justice. When I read the e-mail I could readily identify what happened. Satan is alive and well and he will use anyone he can to attack active Christian families. I'm thankful that caring Christians are getting the story national attention. I will inform anyone I know about Hannah and I will pray for her and for her family.
We are praying for you, your family, your church. Unbelievable that this has gone this far! My heart cries out for you and trust that He is comforting you as never before. He is the God of all Consolation. My thoughts keep going to Jeremiah 29:11: I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Please know that many are standing with you.

"When you are weak, He is strong!" A favorite line in the song of children all over the world that know that Jesus loves them. I have been so touched by the events and driven to pray for everyone involved. We have seen a glimpse of the type of worldy injustice that has occurred and it is sickening. We have dealt with false accusations, lies and twisting of facts- but the good news is that God prevails! His word is always true and He will get the glory. We can not see it now, but it will be revealed someday. While you wait, stand on His word, abide in Him, and know that no matter how weak, frustrated and confused you may feel, He is strong and will lift you up! You are in our prayers!

Josh and I attended Calvary when we lived in Corpus from '01-'02. I heard about this case on a message board I belong to, and was shocked to see what has happened. We are praying for this family, as well as for the church and Pastor Rod and Noreen. If there are any specific requests please email us and let us know.

To All:
I wondered what I could write in the subject line and over and over came the verse, "Consider it all joy my brethern when you encounter various trials knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance, AND LET endurance have it's perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." James 1:2-4. Some would not consider that encouragement but it is! It truly is. You are being persecuted for your faith, not because of your parenting skills. You can be certain, because the Word of God is true, that not one moment is out of God's
control. He is in control, He is sovereign, He has planned this road for you to travel. This path of suffering. As He planned Richard Wurmbrands suffering in Romanian prisons, as Pastor Lambs suffering in Chinese prisons, as He planned Darlene Diebler Rose's suffering in Japanese prison camp. Darlene wrote in the forward to her book, "Evidence Not Seen", that she knew all those dear ones she had lost in the camps would tell her, "Run Darlene. Run. It is all worth it!" And so it is. Trust in the One who saved you to care for all the details of your
little ones lives. If He can save us foul sinners, He can care for all of them. We will be praying for your release but also for the peace and comfort that come from knowing God is sovereign. Persecution has come to America, and you are some of the first that will go before the rest of us. Stay strong in the power of God's might. And rejoice. Always in Jesus,

First of all I greive for you and your family in the loss of your son. The loss of a child is wrenching and horrible and difficult in so many ways. I cannot imagine having this persecution placed on top of it. The Lord Jesus Christ will see you and your family through this storm. I will keep you in my prayers as you have requested.
This is a beautiful website.... Today at HEB in Portland, I saw a vehicle that had "free Hannah" on the windows. I stopped and prayed right then and there for Hannah, Larry and those beautiful children. Ours prayers are for you and Beth as well. I just want you to know that we love you, believe you, wish for justice in this matter. We have put the Overton family on our church prayer list for "strength, peace and justice" God bless you all.
Much love, Shari
I am so sorry to hear about this situation. I grieve that other christians have been exposed to and manipulated by the Texas CPS system. There is a definite bias against christians, home schooling, and working mothers in the state system (CPS). Yes, I too have had bad experiences with the Texas CPS system, but not to this extreme. Being open and honest with them (CPS) only gives them the opportunity to
twist words, meanings, and actions. God bless and keep you and your family. You all are in our prayers.
My husband told me about your story. We are conservative Christian homeschooling parents as well. Your story is the extreme end of the fears many of us have about allowing the government into our home through fostering. I am so sorry. This world is hostile toward us, but God is the Blessed Controller and he will make sure that you will be cleared of this and be returned to your family. Do not give up. He has promised to take you through and see you justified and made whole.
Hannah, I believe you are being persecuted because of your faith. Stand up to it
and look to God to guide you. You are not the first Christian to be persecuted.
Remember that there is no justice in this world, only that of Heaven. We are
praying for you and your husband.
This is the first day I have heard of this tragedy. If not mistaken, I believe I
met you both at our church, Calvary Austin. I am praying for you guys and would like to sign a petition of retrial or whatever it takes to free Hannah.
I was just talking with a fellow member of our church who adopts many children from Haiti. He said he likes it that way because our system is really messed up and it is hard to work with CPS. They have a couple kids of their own and have adopted 3 kids from Haiti and are in the middle of adopting 3 more with a petition to adopt a 4th. This will bring their total to 9 kids. They are loving and your family reminds me of them. Please keep the faith! I will pass your story along so many can pray for you.
I am praying for your other children as well.
In Christ's love,
Donna C
Hannah and Larry,
I read about this tragedy in the caller times and saw the coverage in the news. I have never met either of you, but I do not believe a word the media has provided. I am so sorry for your losses, both Andrew and the trial.
I have two beautiful children, 12 and 15. I cannot tell you the strange ways they hurt themselves during their toddler/young childhood stages! My husband and I used to joke about it, that we cant take them anywhere or people would get the wrong idea. Both were very active and my daughter has ADHD, so they were prone to bruises and scratches. I too am a non practicing LVN and would not have known the symptoms of sodium poisoning. Even with full insurance I am not one to rush my children to
the doctor for colds, fever, or vomiting. I have learned, as I am sure you have with five children, that usually they do not require, (or get), antibiotics and it is just more uncomfortable to the sick child to sit in a doctors office or emergency room. We always wait a little while, as you did!
I just want you to know that there are people out here who believe in you and your family. God is with you, we do not know why His good and faithful people must go through these trials and tribulations, but God does. He will get you through this. I will continue praying for you and your family. Keep your faith and stay strong!
God Bless You,
Theresa P.
just read your story for the first time on World Net Daily website. This is
totally unbelieveable, we give all the breaks to the criminial and put godly, law abiding citizens behind bars. Surely our nation is going to reap the judgement of God Almighty. We will help to spread the word and do what we can to help, especially thru prayer that the Lord God will hear your cries and free Hannah.
Yesterday Pastor Carver spoke at our church and told us about the verton's family trials. The whole church was moved by your story, you are in our prayers and in our hearts. God is Big and God is Good and His glory is been reveled thru this situation. WE KNOW that all things work toghether for good for those who love God and are called according to His porpuses.
Blessings,

What words can I give to encourage you? God is in control of this, and I know how hard it is to have patience with His plans. You are being persecuted for your faith, and sadly you are only one of the first in the US to have it happen while the whole system will turn against us as the time draws nearer for Christ's return. I will pray for you, and your family to be surrounded by God's grace and mercy as you suffer for your faith in Jesus.

Please know that there are many Christians in Corpus Christi who are praying for Hannah and the Overton Family. What a testimony of faith to see her Church Family come beside her and her family in what must be the biggest test of faith in her life. May God strengthen and bless you and the power of the Holy Spirit comfort you all.
First of all, I have no money to offer, but I am very touched by this story. I cannot understand what Hannah's attorney must have been doing during the trial. I also don't understand why several of your witnesses didn't testify because of delays. It seems to me they would testify whenever needed! Anyway, this is the kind of story that Nancy Grace should pick up on. She speaks for children and I believe would be interested in running this piece. Other names might include Rita Cosby, Laura Ingraham, Bill O'Reilly. I would do my best to get the word out for the support you deserve. Maybe even Dr. Laura. This couple is heroic in being willing to take in a foster child with so many problems. I wish you well. May God bless your family.
~Hello~
When I saw Hannah's photo in the news article, I had a feeling down deep inside that there is no way that she could have done what the prosecutors are accusing her of. I'm a christian who homeschools, so to read that article is really scary. Her situation reminds me of many articles I have read about on the internet concerning christian homeschoolers. I hate to say this, but I believe it's starting to get dangerous to be a christian in this country. I receive emails from focus on the family about this hate crime bill trying to get passed through congress by being attached to another bill. Our rights as christians are at risk of being taken away and being under great persecution. I believe Hannah's situation is just another way to attack christians and to make them look like they're psychotic and dangerous. With all that's going on in this country and with every situation christians have to
face, we have to remember that God is still in control. I pray that God will cause something to come out that will be bad on the prosecution and cause the case to backfire on them so Hannah will be set free. May the Lord be with Hannah, her family and the church. God Bless!
Suzanne (San Antonio, TX)
I am a homeschool mom of 5 children myself and can only imagine what this mother and the family are going through. I am so sorry to hear about the death of their child and not being able to mourn his loss in peace.
Our whole family will be praying for the Overton's daily. We understand there will be concerns as far as the care of the children and will pray God's protection and the love of Jesus over them. It is obvious they are not fighting against flesh and blood for an attack to these proportions. I believe God will have the victory in this because He is greater and He's on His children's side.
May God's Love, Comfort, Wisdom and Strength be with you.
Sandy
Just want you to know that we at our house are in prayer for your whole family. We fostered for 10 years . I also had children that would defecate or urinate in anger, raid the frig, hoard food.
We loved them all, just like you do.
We are praying that you will be free .
God grant you grace,
Linda in Georgia
Dear Overton family & friends,
Having just read about your case for the first time today I have been shocked by the terrible circumstances and trauma you have endured. There have been similar cases in the UK of parents being convicted of salt poisoning but in most cases so far it has
been overturned on appeal. I pray that will be the case with you and that it will happen soon.
I have shared your story with others and posted a link to this site on our MSN group urging people to raise you all up in prayer at this time.
The Lord's grace and mercy is new every morning and sufficient for each days need. Know you are not alone and many are standing alongside you in prayer.
Love and blessings from a sister in the Lord
Debbie
I am always surprised when I read about cases like yours, where people are presumed guilty until proven innocent. I used to have such confidence in our system of "justice", but in the last few years, it has become apparent to me why my brother became so disenfranchised with work in the DA's office and became a defense attorney. Make no mistake, God will be with you throughout your ordeal. I will be praying for your family, and for justice to truly prevail. I hope that Hannah will use the time until she is released to reach out to others with the Gospel. My husband and I own a Blog and will use what influence we have to get the word out about your case in the Blogoshpere, our church, and the legal community. God bless you, and keep fighting!
This story crushed my heart. I just want to let you know that our family is praying for you. I pray that you lean upon Our Lord & Savior Jesus for His strength, peace and mercy. God's glory can be seen in you through the way you handle all of this. 0 God's glory is shown in the testimony of those who are speaking out for you. In your husband standing by you. In eyewitness accounts of how you loved Andrew and cared so well for your all your children. Think of how the church grew while Paul suffered false inprisonment. God is using you, praise Him, though I know your heart is so broken. Oh I pray that you rest faithfully in His promises at this time. I pray (and it does seem impossible to me...if it were me) that you have peace and joy that surpasses all understanding while you wait for justice. I pray God Himself will be your defense. Rest in Him! Yuo will be continually in my prayers.
I thank WND for bringing this story into the open so we could all gather to pray for you as
one body. In His grace, Tracy
I just now read about this on Worldnetdaily.com. May GOD get Hanna free quickly! Please put a petition on the internet for dear Hanna. We live in very sad times - good, wonderful people and patriots are persecuted. Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean
U.S. Border Agents were given 11 and 12 years in jail for attempting to apprehend an illegal alien drug smuggler. A warning to other patriotic US Border Agents - the same could happen to them if they try and stop drug smugglers! The days are long
gone when the gov't sought to protect young American lives from destruction by drugs. The US seeks to establish a global Islamic terror state in Israel. In Amona, Jewish patriots peacefully protesting surrendering Jewish land to global Islam, had
their bones broken and suffered multiple head wounds from Israeli police who violently attacked the Jewish patriots. Jonathan Pollard is a Jew who sought to protect Israel-Jonathan was given a life sentence and has been in US jail now for 22 years. Jonathan gave information to Israel that the US was supposed to give and didn't! May our precious GOD set free very soon, dear Hanna and Jonathan.
Linda R
Just a note to say we are praying for all of you. Be encouraged and stand strong in the Lord. Larry, I know you are tired and burdened, but don't give into any plea bargains. Pray and seek God's direction. You both are innocent and the Lord knows it and in His time it will be revealed. Hannah, continue to hold on to God's promises. We are praying for your freedom and for your safety. God is bigger than all of this and He has a plan.
Love you all,
The Cannons
I'm Jennie S and I work at a local Christian Store; and Chiropractic Clinic. I don't know who gets these emails, but Mrs. Noreen Carver was the one that came into the Bookstore yesterday and told me to look up on this website. I have really never looked into this case so I really didn't know what was going on. I have forwarded this website to my family in Colorado and also to my boyfriend's family locally. I know that sometimes it's easy to say I'll pray for you and sometimes you wonder if it works, but just when things seem there darkest is when God is the closest. God is not just walking beside this family He is carrying them. Hannah and her family have been on my mind ever since Mrs. Carver told me that Hannah got life in prison. Is there anyway I can help be a voice for Hannah? I wish I had contacts in the media to challenge them to find out the truth and help reverse judgement on Hannah. The media can screw up so many facts and reading all these articles it's sounds to me like they swayed the jurors' decission. I have put myself in Hannah's place so many times today and my heart just breaks at what she is going through and then I think about her husband and children and the agony those Hannah loves most are going through. God does still work miracles I've seen them. I just want to close with a scripture that God gave me several years ago that when I walked through my valley of the shadow of death, (which wasn't bad at all) I just repeated it over and
over. It's a familiar scripture. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you saith the Lord. Plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you HOPE and a FUTURE. God sees how many people are going to come to Him through the Overton's witness, by being humble, people who never would have been reached if Hannah and Larry hadn't made a sacrifice of their love to help others. I a nobody in this world but I will help in anyway I can if you guys need one more voice, or one more signature, or whatever. You will always have my prayers.
Thank you also to the Carvers for your sacrifice in housing this precious family.
Love in Christ
Jennie
I was touched by the slide show of this family. God bless them. God bless the little boy. I'll keep them all in my prayers.
Pastor Rod, I'm one of the church member who has been absent for a couple of months due to schedule conflicts. I would watch the news daily in hopes of something positive in the case. sadly, Ms. overton was found guilty and I'm one who says that the jury can't be wrong. Right now deep in my heart, after reading your Facts vs. Fiction section, that she will make appeal at some point in the future. I can at least thank channel 6 news for running stories about your website so that my curiousity to kick in and look at it. If only alot more people can really dig in to your writings I think people will look at this case alot differently and realize ongoing corruption in the Criminal Justice system. Now, I know why you called it one the the worst CJ tradegies you've ever seen. God Bless You and I'll be in church really soon. Juan
Somebody needs to wake up, judge. This decision was a travesty. All the while, the entire family is suffering, needlessly. Please overturn this and bring out the truth.
i was wondering if you would let me write a letter to Pres. Bush amd Rep. Ortez, along with the signatures of the people on this website, so he will know what is going on in "his state". if everyone and more could just sign their name to this letter just maybe Hannah's case will be over turned and dropped along with her husband's. they NEED to know about this. they being parents and Christian's should understand this. please let me know if you want me to do this. i feel i need to do it for their children.
thank you
Kat F
I will pray for hannah and forward this to churches in this area too. I thought of Peter having an angel come to him in prison..and I pray the Lord send an angel for Hannah I hate the evils and injustices of this world. I have experienced it too. God is watching..and will not tolerate the injustice much longer

This is a time to fight, otherwise Hanna will be locked up forever. I would try to
get this into the news media like 20/20, Dateline, etc. There is an organization
called the Justice Project. They usually help people locked up, who claim innocence and have no money. Hanna at the most should not have gotten anything worse than Manslaughter, since I'm sure she didn't know that the "seasoning mix" in question, let alone, that Salt would cause a death. I never heard of that until I heard about this case. The other important thing is the attorneys need to file the paperwork for an appeal IMMEDIATELY since there is a deadline. Get a good APPEALS attorney and come up with the money somehow -loan, sell house, otherwise, you won't get far with this. I have had some experience with this - the DA's are not out for justice but for conviction. Like with Nifong, many are now corrupt, and love attention.
Hi,
This is Sean, pastor of Calvary Chapel Charleston. We are grieving with you
over this injustice. I would like to know what we may be able to do to help out. We
are a small but loving church that's available to be a resource if we can.
Please let me know and i will be more than happy to pass it along. God bless you for
your efforts to provide representation and support of the Overton Family.
Watching & waiting,
Sean P N
Just hours after the jurys verdict I was on the phone with my father in law. He made a profound statement that has been burned into my heart. Hannah has joined the ranks of Job and other like him in the Bible that have been wrongfully accused and thrown in jail. My thoughts often go to, what if this is the plan God has for Hannahs life? I know we think God wouldnt do such a thing, to allow this to happen to Hannah. But for those who know Hannah as you know your parents or best friend, we know she has an outstanding faith. I continue to go over Jerm. 29:11 and with that I think, maybe just maybe God is fed up with how things are going in our lives and wants to make an example out of the faith that Hannah has in our Lord God. I dont think it would be far fetch for God to make an example out of a good person for a good cause.
For what it is worth Ive never met Hannah. I am family though. I am married to Ben first cousin to Hannah. I have watched the trial the only way I could from Virginia and that is through KRIS.com. KRIS was my window into the court room to see Hannah, and to tell you the truth, her patients, faith and love radiates through the TV.
Hannahs second oldest child, Isabel, was in our wedding just this past June of 07. Talk about the apple doesnt fall far from the tree. Though Ive never met Hannah I feel as though Isabel is a spitting image of her mother. A child that is filled with patients, love and kindness for those around her just like her mother. Many of us here in Peru are praying. Continue to hold fast and to stand firm in the
faith. God bless and comfort all of you.
You have our prayers, our thoughts, our tears, our peace. Our hearts, our minds, our
joy, our greif. Our hope in Christ, in His amazing grace, who comfots us with the
warmth of His embrace. To our sister whom we so love, may you recieve your strength
from above. From our Father who loves us so, and for those in His hands that He will
never let go! God bless you Hannah you are an inspiration to us all.
Hannah and Larry,
you are in our prayers. We know that God will bring the justice, and we trust Him to
give you peace and strength as you wait.
We cannot believe the magnitude of this thing God has allowed in your life, but what
we know about our God is that He will bring about His desired end. Your
faithfulness to Him will be rewarded.
Your innocence will be defended by Him. And He
will silence the lies of the enemy.
Our church in Tustin has been and will continue to intercede for you.
To your church, Calvary Chapel Coastlands,
Your love for one another has been a testimony of the love of Christ. You are the
church that we are told to model from the book of Acts.
You are the church that Paul wrote to in 1 Thes 1:2-3 "We give thanks to God always
for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your
work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the
sight of our God and Father"
Thank you for showing the world how the Body of Christ should be!
Until this sentence is appealed and Hannah is set free, we will continue to pray for
you , weep with you and rejoice with you when God has revealed His plan.
God Bless you and keep you in the shadow of His wings!
We have known Larry's parents for 25 years, but the last time we had any contact
with Larry, Jr. was when he was a young teenager. It was mind-numbing to hear and
read the vitriol being spewed at this young couple, knowing their testimony and
spiritual history.
There are many lessons to be learned from these trials, and we won't pretend to know
them all, but this we do know. Satan is an adversary that knows how to ratchet up
the cruelty level when even the worst seems to have been reached. What we have,
however, is hope in and promises of our Savior. The depth of which far surpasses
the worst that can be dealt by our enemy.
Our prayer is first and foremost that there be an end to this present suffering.
Secondly we pray that through this profound tragedy, those that seem more driven by
hatred of Christians than any search for the truth, will themselves be spared the
ultimate cruelty of the evil one; eternity with him.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we all can find encouragement in Job's confession to God:
I know You can do everything,
And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.
Hannah and Larry, you are in the shadow of the wings of the Almighty, and we are
there with you
I will pray for hannah and forward this to churches in this area too.
I thought of Peter having an angel come to him in prison..and I pray the Lord send
an angel for Hannah
I hate the evils and injustices of this world. I have experienced it too.
God is watching..and will not tolerate the injustice much longer

Hi, my name is Beth. I am 21 years old and am a missionary in Peru. There is a Bible College extention campus here and ever since we heard about Hannah's case, we have been praying for her everyday. On Wednesday while she was getting her sentance, we were all in a room praying for her. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of her and Larry and the children. You are all in our prayers. We know that the Lord see's the whole picture. We only see one part. The Lord is going to do mighty things through Hannah's life. Hannah, I look up to you so much. You are a woman of faith. May the Lord give you joy, peace, and rest as you rest in His arms. The Lord will never leave you or forsake you. In Him, Beth

Please forgive us the people of your home community for jumping to conclusions. The media is in the business of sensationalising every story to sell commecials, and although I'm usually skeptical about reports from the media, I am very zealous when it comes to children. I work in the child care industry and have for the last coupleof years. I know of many cases where people have actually harmed children and I must admit, I tend to judge instantly. I worked as a professional clown for twelve years and understand how easily a person can lose efverything to public pressure when a complaint is made. It was the riskiest part of working with kids. I remember a child care worker who was named as a suspect in a sexual misconduct case against a chid in their care. (a retired couple)The man was innocent but lost everything before the stepbrother of the child stepped forward and admitted to the crime. I was skeptical and critical until I learned yesterday that pastor Rod was giving support. I don't know him personally, but I learn from his teaching daily, and I know Calvary Chappel to be a true, sprit guided community of teacher/preachers. I ask forgiveness from the Overton family and although I can't offer much tangible help since I don't know anyone involved, I will ceartainly lift you up in prayer. I know the God who loves you, and I trust that He will be glorified through all your
trials and hold you . I'm thankful that you have a faithful church family to
support you in your time of hardship. Again,
Please forgive me!

Hello my name is Tina M.. My family and I attend Northshore Bible Chapel (a
branch off of Calvary Chapel) and our children attend Annapolis Christian Academy;
we recently heard of the Overton story... I don't know Hannah or Larry Overton, but
my heart goes out to them.. I couldn't imagine losing a child, being stripped away
from my other children, having the media instruct everyone to look at me as some
kind of a monster, and then ultimately being found guilty of murdering my baby as
she has. It bothers me that the media and the police were out for blood rather than
out for the truth. I am not so sure they would know what the truth was even if it
jumped up and smacked them in the heads. I am so sorry for what has tore your family
apart. I know you are a strong family as I couldn't deal with what they are going
through. I would like to have their addresses for wherever they are going so that I
may talk with an amazing strog Christ-driven woman and man.. I will be praying for
their family in hopes that "God's Will" will be done!! Thank you so much for
allowing me to share a few words.
Tina M
Hannah I just heard about your suffering. I have everyone I know praying for you
guys. God is never late, although it may seem like it. I believe in you and stand in
the gap for you! Be strong in the Lord!
I love you,
Ann M
May I suggest a bold move, consider the following:
at the end of each President's term it is customary for the President to proclaim
Pardons to various citizens of the United States. Why don't we all inform the
President of Hannah and why she should be pardoned? I am praying Hannah will be set
free very soon, but if not, let's send thousands of letters to the President to
pardon her!
Family, friends, and supporters, DON'T STOP FIGHTING FOR HANNAH'S RELEASE!
May all the prayers give you the strength to keep up the fight until Hannah and
Larry will be set free from all this horrible, horrible nightmare.
God Bless You,
Grandma Gracie, Christina's Mom
We do not know you but this has been sent to us from a family member that doesn't
know you either. But, we know you through Christ. We will be uplifting you
continually in prayer. We will be praying that God's hand of grace and strength will
sustain you. We pray for the people that made this decision that they will see
truth. Our prayers are with you.

This is today's devotional from Charles Stanley.
I just wanted to share this with you.
The Purpose of Our Trials
READ | 1 Peter 4:12
Some believers like to portray their lives as perfect and carefree. But in reality,
being a Christian isnt always easy. In fact, sometimes well experience trials that
truly test our faith and ability to trust in God.
In todays passage, Peter refers to times of testing as fiery ordeals. He says we
shouldnt be surprised when hardships come our way. Its important to remember that
God has a purpose for our trials and will see us through each step of the way. But
the question is, What purpose does God have for the trials we face?
First, the heavenly Father will sometimes use painful experiences to cleanse and
purify His childrens lives. Trials drive us to the Lord. Then, as we begin to focus
on Him, we start to see things from His perspective and often become more aware of
our sin.
Second, the Lord at times allows difficulty in our life as a way of testing usHe
might be trying our faith, endurance, or devotion to Him. He uses such experiences
to reveal something about our spiritual development and to strengthen our faith.
Third, God uses suffering to demonstrate His power to sustain us. When He brings you
through difficult times, He glorifies Himself. In turn, this encourages others when
they experience trials, because they have witnessed Gods sustaining power in your
life.
Ultimately, hardships strengthen our testimony. In the midst of adversity, we might
feel overwhelmed and discouraged. But once the storm has passed, we can often look
back and see the Lords providential hand carrying us through.
hello..1st my heart and prayers go out to hannah and her family,i fell very strongly
she should NOT have been fined guilty(if so almost every parent should go to jail
also, because we all make bad and or wrong choices), the wrost part is she is having
to leave behind chrildren that need her very much, please appeal this case and God
willing she will be found not guilty and be able to return to her husband and
chrildren that need her very much.

I have been praying for the Overton family since October. I am grieved by the
verdict in this case. I will continue to pray for justice until Hannah is FREE!!! Is
there any way that we can send letters to Hannah and let her know that she is in our
prayers?? If there is anything that I can do please let me know.
we pray for Hannah and Larry everyday. Is there ant thing else we can do? Is there
local or state offical we can write? Can you give us some guidance/direction on
people in position of authority we can overwelm with letter writting campains? Is
this wise? Please give us some active steps we can take to reverse the horrible case
of injustice. Maybe if some higher officals were to receive and avalanche of letters
it would cause them to have a deeper look at this case. This charge/punishment of
capital murder is unjust. Surely someone else in a position of athority in an
unbiased spirit can see that.
I praise the Lord for the strength Hannah and Larry have to endure this, but He has
also burdoned my heart greatly to fight this.

We have been praying for you since the day Andrew got sick and you will continue to
be in our prayers daily. There are many who sit in disbelief at the miscarrage of
justice and grief piled upon grief since Andrew's death. I'm a medical professional
myself and believe Andrew had an undiscovered illness; I cannot even imagine that
any of your actions even contributed to his illness. We believe you loved him and
acted in his best interest. We believe with all our hearts that God will see you
through. There are many in Canada praying for your family too!
Continuing to pray and spread the word about this injustice. Your pics are adorable.
I do believe that this is going to turn around for the good. God keeps His promises.
Stand strong in Faith. I love the fact that you are choosing to love those who have
acted in such a mean bullying way. There are always bullies on the playgrounds; it's
just sad when they are adults. Love is the right choice, always. Your sister in
Christ, Nancy
I would hope that someone has contacted the ACLJ and the Pacific Justice institute. They can provide free legal help to those that have injustice especially when it involves Christians. We have been contacting everyone that we can think of and are encouraged by what is going on. I expect that this will be on several radio and tv shows soon. We are praying fot the family for it is God who must move this giant. Our God thrives on impossible situations!
My prayers are with you and your family. I believe this is a total injustice done. I don't know how the jury can sleep well with making this kind of call. I know alot of this family through Dawn W. I will be watching the future happenings of this case. If I can be of any help up in CT., let me know,
I don't know you, but I heard about your ordeal and am grieved to the core. My name is Nancy and I have written my senators, and the vice-president. What that will do? We are crying, praying, loving you. Hopefully we will be able to support you, as well. I feel connected to you and your pain. United in Christ, Nancy
We could not believe the jury's verdfict nor the judge's sentence. How can this be??? So much prayer and tears and still this battle continues--and gets worse. This is a horrible storm, but God has not left any of you alone in the midst of it. As you know, He still reigns, He is still in control and He is still Who He is no matter where each of is--in jail, at home with the kids, crying on the living room floor asking "why?!?", or sitting in a law office smirking because you think you have "won."
